I’m gearing up for an exciting project: in February, I’ll be recording an album of nine of my arrangements from Granados’ Twelve Spanish Dances. The originals are for piano, and adapting them for harp has been a rewarding challenge.
To prepare, I’ve been recording every dance every week, at least one full run-through at a time. It’s less about perfection and more about getting comfortable with the process, noticing what the microphone catches, and building consistency. It’s already been grounding, and eye-opening and I’m looking forward to seeing how the work evolves as the weeks go on.
